The Life of
Jamareon Clark

Empowering Athletes Through Innovative Solutions

My name is Jamareon Clark, and I am from Hardeeville, SC. I have been around sports & have been an athlete my whole life since the age of four. I played three sports football, baseball, and basketball & was blessed to receive a scholarship for basketball at Catawba College, where I finished my undergraduate degree in Bachelors of Science. I am currently at Missouri Baptist University at the finish line of completing a Master's in Fitness Management. During my time here in St. Louis and being part of the Spartans family, I've had the opportunity to work with the Men's Basketball team. Head coach Preston Ingram has mentored me since being in St.Louis, and he was nice enough to offer me the Graduate Assistant position. Being around the players and a part of the coaching staff has given me an experience I could never take for granted. Being a four-year collegiate player at Catawba College and seeing the game as a player during that time, being a part of this team helped and guided me to develop a clear view of the game as a coach. My main goal while being a part of this team was to learn players' games and practice different skills and crafts for their game. My favorite inspiration Phil Handy skill development coach for the Los Angeles Lakers gave me the eyes to want to be a part of a team and help them better their game and craft behind the scenes. During the season, I got the chance to have that experience and also experience being runners-up in the AMC championship, which was a huge experience. Everything I've learned from Coach Ingram and my internship will be added to my training traits. One of the biggest takeaways from my internship is that Coach Ingram and the rest of the coaching staff put a lot of hard work, time, and dedication into the program. So with that being said, that showed me that I have to be all in with whatever I do and sacrifices will have to be made at times but it'll all be worth it, Coach P and I believe that I can be an outstanding skill development coach one day.
