Graduate Assistant
During my internship, things were as usual when the team. I came in Monday through Friday and made sure
our players and coaches were good and there if needed. A lot during this week, we have been doing a lot of skill development
with these players. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9-11 am our JV players are allowed to come in and work out with either one of us on the coaching staff. While the week was going on, there were a few players that I did one or two-man skill work with. For example, on the JV team, Landon, and Tristen are my two go-getters in my eyes. They both are always locked and loaded and most important always ready to learn the game. These two guys worked out with me those three days and we got some good work in. We worked on footwork, ball handling, shooting, and scoring off the dribble. Also, during this week, I helped out with the varsity practices and showed a different type of defense. With me still being fresh out of college hoops, coaches would use me in some drills just to give me a game-time look. This is very helpful because it helps players game and also helps
their IQ and mindset for game time
